SKI RACE TRAINING
NASC SKI RACE CAMPS AND PROGRAMS
Since 1984, NASC has operated world-class ski race training camps, including the most comprehensive program on Mt. Hood, where we’ve trained more than 10,000 athletes. We welcome racers of all levels — from U.S. Ski & Snowboard and FIS competitors to local club and high school athletes — providing training that meets each skier where they are.

Our two primary programs are the Summer Camp at Mt. Hood and the Fall Camp at Big Sky Resort in Montana. In addition, Mt. Hood offers Custom Training options for athletes and teams who bring their own coaches and curriculum, supported by our world-class facilities and resources.
Summer Ski Race Camp
Mt. Hood

Our Summer ski race camps are for athletes ranging from FIS and USSA level to local ski race clubs and high school teams. With an exceptional 6-to-1 athlete-to-coach ratio combined with an athlete-centered approach, our expert team of coaches effectively assess and address the individual needs of your athlete.

While NASC offers the best ski race training on Mt. Hood, that’s just part of the story. Campers enjoy our private and pristine two-acre riverfront campus at the Salmon River Reserve in Welches (10 miles from Mt. Hood), a whole different world of lush surroundings, where we eat, rest, train, and play.

Fall Ski Race Camp
Big Sky Resort, MT

NASC Fall Ski Race Camp is now held at Big Sky Resort—a world-class destination that combines elite training opportunities, reliable early-season snow, and a focused, uncrowded environment.

Fall race camp puts our athletes at the center of the action with premier training lanes, first-class slope side accommodations, and the same top-tier coaches that run our Mt. Hood camps. Our program and training methods remain consistent—a low 6-to-1 athlete-to-coach ratio, an athlete-centered approach, and a solid mixture of off-mountain fun.

Custom Ski Race Training Mt. Hood

Our custom Mt. Hood Training Center program is built to give coaches and clubs the flexibility to design training around their athletes’ needs — and their budget. The concept is simple: you focus on ski training, and we handle the rest.

Programs can include premium training lanes with wave track and surface preparation experts, high-quality gates and salt blowers, insurance, transportation, access to our private campus with all its amenities, and meals prepared by private chefs. You can choose the complete package for maximum support or select only the options you need to create a custom program that fits your goals.

IN THEIR WORDS…
What makes NASC truly special is how it blends high-level intensity with genuine fun—much like the training I experienced on the U.S. Ski Team.
- Bob Ormsby, Former U.S. National Ski Team Member, World Cup Ski Racer & 1988 Olympian
IN THEIR WORDS…
NASC is where I love to train! They do an excellent job of athlete development. I think the world of their program-best training, lanes, and courses on Mt. Hood. The team really knows what they're doing. They set up terrain-specific skill development training that helps the athletes improve fast.
- Deb Armstrong, Former U.S. Ski Team Member, World Cup Ski Racer & Olympic Gold Medalist
IN THEIR WORDS…
I grew up going to NASC every summer and couldn’t wait for my kids to experience it too. It's proven to be just as much fun for them as it was for me 25-years ago! The on-hill experience is top-notch, the coaching staff is wonderful, and the after-ski activities make it the summer camp experience that kids dream of. All of the kids had so much fun, were safe, and improved so much!
- Jody Curtis, Park City Ski Team Parent & Former NASC Athlete
IN THEIR WORDS…
All 3 of my kids have gone to NASC Fall and Summer camps for years. They still attend and absolutely love it! The Coaches at NASC can make any skier, at any ability level, better. The coaches' knowledge of modern skiing and surface preparation is unmatched. NASC coaches really care about each and every athlete and share their passion for the sport.
- Mike Regrut, Telluride Ski Team Parent & Former D1 Racer
IN THEIR WORDS…
NASC was one of the best decisions I've ever made on behalf of my son. His first stay away from family was with NASC at age 11. The experience far exceeded my expectations. The coaches and training are best-in-class. NASC is by far his favorite camp and ski training experience. Our ski team now sends multiple athletes to NASC.
- Derek Stagner, Hidden Valley Ski Team Parent & Board President
IN THEIR WORDS…
Brad taught me a lot on the snow! What a wealth of knowledge!
- Sandy Perrins, Stratton Mountain School & Bates College Ski Racer
IN THEIR WORDS…
It’s such an amazing camp. It’s low key enough to make people feel like they belong, no matter their skill level, and has such great structure and such keen coaches - that every athlete will be challenged and inspired to learn. Our family highly recommends the NASC camps! Brad and his team create the type of environment we want for our kids – top-notch athletics, coupled with lots of good, summer fun!
- Tabitha Andersen, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) Parent
IN THEIR WORDS…
Excellent coaches, cover all aspects of technical ski racing. Beautiful wonderland-like campus. Highly recommend for kids from 9 and up.
- Paul Yeh, Parent of NASC Athlete
IN THEIR WORDS…
The NASC camp was such a great adventure for all the campers! The coaching staff is top notch, the training venue and “base camp” were perfect. Tons of fun and very productive all the way around!
- Erik Schlopy, Former U.S. Ski Team Member, World Cup Ski Racer & Olympic Bronze Medalist
IN THEIR WORDS…
As a member of the Czech Ski Team, I experienced many organizations and international ski competitions. With NASC, I saw a different level of preparation and professionalism that fascinated me. Improvement happened naturally as their coaching is based on fundamental development.
